Glass Walls: Exposing Pastor Burnout

Updated: Apr 19, 2022

Did you know:

· 90% of pastors work between 55 to 75 hours per week

· 70% constantly fight depression

· 77% feel they do not have a good marriage

· 70% do not have someone they consider a close friend

· 72% only study the Bible when preparing for sermons or lessons

The culture war raging against our clergy in America today is fierce. Pastors and other ministry leaders are often under so much stress that they may find themselves just hanging on by a thread, about to burnout from exhaustion or blow out morally.

That’s why Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat is partnering with JCFilms Studios to create a new faith-based feature film starring actor Dean Cain, Eddie McClintock and Kristi Lawrence to bring attention to these issues and find healing for America’s pastors.

Shepherd's Canyon Retreat Ministry offers week-long counseling retreats for men and women in ministry who are in the midst of various stages of burnout, stress, depression, and conflicts of all kinds.

“Let’s face it; Pastor stress today is enormous. The expectations that people put on their pastors — and that pastors put on themselves — can be debilitating. This film is both an alarm to the crises and a blueprint to help churches restore pastoral care,” Jason Campbell said, President of JCFilms.

Production starts early December 2021 in Arizona. Those interested in auditioning should contact castingcallsjcfilm@gmail.com.
