WHAT?

JCFilms Studios is now offering a FILM CAMP for adults.  Whether it be from acting, writing, directing to producing this camp was created to help you get out of the pews and on to a movie set. 

 

WHY?

Because NOW IS THE TIME for you to write that script, learn production skills, take your acting more seriously and/or even produce your own film. 

 

WHEN?

The dates are August 1 – 5, 2024.  Please see Itinerary below.

 

WHERE ARE WE STAYING?

We are staying and conducting all classes and training at the Courtyard by Marriott in beautiful Bridgeport, WV.  Campers will enjoy single room accommodations with breakfast and lunch covered at the hotel during the camp. The hotel is conveniently located with several restaurant for dinner within walking distance.

 

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to and from the hotel and airport is included in the cost.  The closest airport to the hotel is the North Central West Virginia Airport in Clarksburg, WV.  Campers may choose to fly into Pittsburgh International. Ground transportation to set locations for the demo reel program will be provided.  

 

WHAT WILL I GET?

This is an inclusive intensive camp all about faith filmmaking.  From production, acting to producing. 

•  Each camper will receive hands on experience on a mock live movie set with detailed training in all areas of filmmaking. 

• Each camper will learn the key essentials in script writing.

• Each camper will participant in a personalized acting workshop.

• Each camper will perform and receive their own professional Demo Reel.

• Each camper will receive a camp swag bag, filled with training materials, a JCFilms Studio t-shirt and production hat. 

 

COST?

With the help of an anonymous donor, the total cost of $1,020 covers:

• Single Room Hotel Accommodations

• Breakfast, Lunch, one dinner and daily snacks.  Some dinners are on your own.

• Custom-made Demo Reel.

• Classes & Hands-on Training

• A $200 deposit is due to Register.  The remainder of the camp fee will be due the day of camp registration.

6PM - Mix and mingle with fellow campers and camp staff at our welcoming reception.

 

August 2, 2024 – Friday.

8AM – Breakfast/Devotions

9AM – Workshop – Acting Classes

12PM – Lunch

1PM – Rehearsal of your scenes for your demo reels, written just for you.

4PM – Workshop – How to succeed as an actor?

5PM – Workshop – How to fundraise for your film?

 

August 3, 2024 – Saturday.

Demo Reel Production All day with lunch served on set.

 

 

August 4, 2024 – Sunday.

8AM – Breakfast/Devotions

9AM – Workshop – Onset Production training.

1PM – Lunch

(2PM – 5PM – One-on-one personalized coaching.)

2PM – Workshop – Film directing.

3PM – Workshop – It’s all about post-production.

4PM – Workshop – Making film distribution work.

5PM – Q & A with actor Dean Cain. 

6PM – Finale Pizza Party & Worship Service.

DEMO REEL

All campers will receive a high quality, custom-made demo reel, written and created just for them. After registering, we will send you a brief questionnaire.  From this we will craft shorts scenes or moments to best reflect those requests.  After rehearsing and planning scenes with the campers,  professional filmmakers are brought in to shoot these demo reels scenes to look as if they are taken from full-length projects, with other campers serving as scene partners.  The quality of your demo reel speaks volumes about you as an actor, and JCFilms Studios strives to provide you with marketing material that shows you in your best light.  You will be emailed your demo reel scenes (one comedy and one drama) plus all of the scenes you appeared in within 2 weeks of camp.
