Teen Film Camp at the Creation Museum & Ark Encounter

During the production of our exciting new feature film The 5th Passage, JCFilms Studios is thrilled to host a special Teen Film Camp Experience in Northern Kentucky at two of the most inspiring Christian attractions in America, the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter.

If you are ages 14–18 and love faith, film, creativity, and storytelling, this summer camp is for you.

 

For the past four years, JCFilms Studios has hosted Teen Film Camp each summer, and it has become one of our most exciting and life-changing experiences. Every camper is cast and actively involved in a real faith-based film while learning, creating, and growing in a Christ-centered environment.

This year, we are bringing the experience to Northern Kentucky during the production of our new feature film The 5th Passage, starring Lara Donaldson, Dean Cain, and Kevin Sorbo.

 

About the Film

The Great Story Challenge is an inspiring faith-and-family film starring Kevin Sorbo about thirty teenagers from across America who gather at a Christian filmmaking camp at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.

 

Divided into production teams and challenged to create their own short films, the students quickly discover that the stories they are writing begin to reflect their own struggles, hopes, and dreams. As cameras roll and friendships form, a shy writer finds her voice, a foster teen discovers he belongs, a skeptic wrestles with faith, and others learn lessons about forgiveness, purpose, and courage.

 

Filled with humor, heart, and adventure, The Great Story Challenge is a celebration of storytelling, faith, and the next generation of filmmakers learning that the greatest story they will ever tell may be the one God is writing in their own lives.​

Camp Dates

July 31 – August 4, 2026

• Campers arrive Friday, July 31 by 1:00 PM

• Camp concludes Tuesday, August 4 at 11:00 AM

 

Location & Lodging

Camp activities, classes, and production training will be held at our host hotel and designated production locations throughout Northern Kentucky.

Campers will enjoy scheduled visits to both the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter, where they will experience some of the most powerful biblical exhibits in the world while participating in this unique filmmaking adventure.

Campers and parents will stay together at our official host hotel, which will be announced soon.

 

Cost

Total Camp Cost: $1,600

Includes:

• Lodging

• All meals

• Acting classes and workshops

• Film training

• Participation in the movie production

• Admission to the Ark Encounter

 

$500 deposit required at registration

Remaining balance due at camp check-in.

 

Parent Involvement

This camp is designed for family participation.

At least one parent or guardian must accompany campers and stay overnight in hotel accommodations.
