JCFilms Kicks Off Its Fifth Summer Film Camp at the Ark Encounter with the Release of AFTERMATH

WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky. — There couldn't be a better way to kick off another incredible week of JCFilms Summer Film Camp at the Ark Encounter than by sharing a movie that was born at film camp itself.


As nearly 50 young filmmakers from across the country arrive this week to learn the art of Christian filmmaking, JCFilms is proud to release AFTERMATH, a feature film created entirely by campers during a previous summer camp.


That's what makes film camp so unique. Students don't just sit in classrooms or watch someone else make a movie, they become the filmmakers. They write the script, direct the scenes, operate the cameras, edit the footage, and premiere a feature film, all while learning from industry professionals and working alongside some of the biggest names in Christian entertainment.


AFTERMATH, written and directed by Bronson Howard and Ty Howard, is a gripping end-times thriller that asks the question: What happens to the kids left behind? Set in the days following the Rapture, the film follows a group of young survivors as they navigate a world consumed by chaos, resist a corrupt global government, and cling to the hope found in Biblical truth.

This week marks JCFilms' fifth summer hosting film camp at the Ark Encounter, where students will once again spend the week learning every aspect of filmmaking before creating and premiering their own original feature film.


As one group of campers begins writing the next chapter, audiences now have the opportunity to experience one of the incredible stories that came before.
