JCFilms Returns to Charlotte to Produce New Faith-Based Feature Film Mothers

After producing three films in the Charlotte, NC area, JCFilms continues to find the region to be rich with incredible talent, strong community support, and a passion for storytelling. This summer, the studio is excited to return and partner with one of the area’s most beloved local establishments to bring a powerful new film to life.

The new feature film, Mothers, is a heartfelt, faith-driven story centered around a young man who, after losing his mother, finds healing, purpose, and unexpected connection while working at a family restaurant called Mother’s Comfort Food & Cocktails. The film explores themes of grief, redemption, faith, and the idea that love never truly leaves, it simply finds new ways to live on.

Production is scheduled to take place in late June 2026, with key scenes being filmed inside Mother’s Comfort Food & Cocktails in Charlotte, along with additional locations throughout the city.

The film’s partnership with Mother’s Comfort Food & Cocktails is at the heart of the story—both on screen and behind the scenes. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to community, the restaurant provides the perfect backdrop for a story centered on connection and belonging.
