Bridgeport, WV – October 11, 2025 — JCFilms Studios proudly announces its upcoming feature film, J6 POD, a gripping, emotional exploration of faith, forgiveness, and resilience set inside the D.C. jail following the January 6 Capitol events. Written and directed by Jason Campbell, J6 POD humanizes one of the most divisive chapters in modern American history through the eyes of the men who lived it.
A Story of Broken Walls and Unbroken Faith
J6 POD begins not at the Capitol, but inside the walls of the D.C. jail, where a group of men await their trials, their futures uncertain, their spirits fractured. Among them is Ethan, a quiet man of faith who begins leading small discussions on truth, justice, and hope within the Pod. As he connects with Marcus, a proud former Marine; Caleb, a young pastor; Rico, a man trying to reconcile his faith and politics; and others, the men slowly rebuild a sense of purpose behind bars.
When Daniel, the head correctional officer, begins questioning his own beliefs about justice and duty, J6 POD transforms from a story of confinement into one of redemption and reconciliation.
Inspired by True Events — Grounded in Humanity
While J6 POD is a fictionalized narrative, it draws from real testimonies, court documents, and reports of those detained in connection with January 6. The film portrays the human side of the story; fathers, husbands, veterans, and believers wrestling with loss, regret, and forgiveness.
“This film isn’t about politics — it’s about people,” says writer-director Jason Campbell. “We wanted to capture what happens when faith collides with failure, when men are stripped of everything except each other and their belief that grace still matters.”
An Ending of Hope
The film concludes with a moment of unity and healing, as the men, now free, reunite with their families for a simple cookout — a symbol of reconciliation and the power of grace.
J6 POD reminds audiences that no matter how divided a nation becomes, the human heart remains capable of forgiveness.
Cast & Production
J6 POD features an ensemble cast of both established and emerging faith-based film talents. The film was shot on location in West Virginia. Production began in early January 2026, with release slated for Spring 2026 through JC+ and select theatrical screenings.
