North Canton, OH — JCFilms Studios has announced the opening of its newest Faith & Family Acting & Production Studio in North Canton, Ohio, set to launch in January 2026.
This exciting expansion brings professional Christian filmmaking training to Northeast Ohio, creating new opportunities for actors, families, and aspiring filmmakers to become directly involved in faith-based film productions.
As part of this initiative, the JCFilms North Canton Production Club will produce two faith and family feature films in the region during 2026. To prepare local talent for these productions, JCFilms Studios will offer a four-week intensive Acting & Production Training Program, open to kids, teens, and adults interested in learning the craft of Christian moviemaking and stepping into real on-screen and behind-the-scenes opportunities.
The program will be led by two accomplished instructors with extensive experience in faith-based film.
Jason Campbell, President of JCFilms Studios, will serve as one of the lead mentors. Campbell has produced over 100 Christian films and is known nationally for expanding faith-based storytelling and building production clubs across the country. His passion for mentorship and hands-on training has helped thousands of individuals and families become involved in Christian filmmaking.
Joining him is Stacey Stratton, an accomplished film writer, actress, and producer who leads the North Canton JCFilms Production Club. Stratton has cast and worked with hundreds of local actors and is widely respected for her hands-on teaching style and creative leadership within the JC Films network.
The four-week training series will focus on the core components of performance and film involvement—Acting, Action, Auditioning, and Applying—and will culminate in an Open Audition for an upcoming JC Films feature.
“North Canton is the perfect home for this next studio,” said Campbell. “Our goal is simple: to equip people of faith with the tools, confidence, and real opportunities to be part of Christian filmmaking.”
Classes will begin January 17, 2026, and will run on consecutive Saturdays, with sessions available for multiple age groups. The official class location will be announced soon.
With more than a decade of national impact and over 100 films produced, JC Films Studios continues its mission to engage culture through positive, faith-filled storytelling while opening doors for families, churches, and communities to participate in the filmmaking process together.
