JCFILMS STUDIOS ANNOUNCES THREE NEW FEATURE FILMS COMING TO BRANDON, MISSISSIPPI!

Overwhelming Community Response to Acting Workshops and Auditions Inspires JCFilms to Expand from One Film to Three, All Featuring Actor Kevin Sorbo

BRANDON, MISSISSIPPI — October 14, 2026 — What began as an exciting weekend of acting workshops and auditions has turned into something much bigger than anyone anticipated.

Following an overwhelming response from the Brandon, Mississippi, community, JCFilms Studios is excited to announce plans to produce THREE new feature films in Brandon over the next several months, all starring actor Kevin Sorbo.

This past weekend, more than 100 people attended a JCFilms acting workshop, with even more aspiring actors and performers participating in auditions. From young children stepping in front of the camera for the first time to experienced performers, the talent, enthusiasm, and community support exceeded every expectation.

JCFilms Studios President and filmmaker Jason Campbell, along with actress Larra Donaldson, hosted the weekend's events with the assistance of Amy Hogue at Crossgates Methodist Church.

"We were absolutely overwhelmed by the response," said Campbell. "We knew there was talent in Mississippi, but we had no idea just how much. The enthusiasm, the families, the young people, and the incredible actors who came out really inspired us. We originally came to Brandon working on several different film concepts, hoping to make one movie. After this weekend, we decided we're making three!"
