Dean Cain, who played Superman in the hit show Lois and Clark, will be coming to Mansfield, Ohio on March 25th to help launch Ohio Helping Hands and to continue his work on several faith films being produced in the area.

Ohio Helping Hands is an Ohio non-profit that provides “Foster Family Fun Packs” to foster families. The organization is set to donate 200 “Foster Family Fun Pack” this year throughout Ohio.

Each pack contains a sturdy luggage bag for children to store and transport their personal items. These packs are filled with games, crafts, and other creative activities to help children break the ice, create a bond, and have some fun in their new foster home.

“Children are often removed from their homes, with just some of their belongings stuffed into a trash bag. Knowing these children are also feeling scared, confused and alone, we wanted to create a non-profit to help support them emotionally as they transition into their new foster home,” Stacey Stratton, Executive Director of Ohio Helping Hands explained.

Ohio Helping Hands was created after JCFilms Studios filmed and recently released the movie CHOSEN. The faith and family film stars two Christian film icons, Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo. CHOSEN was produced in Mansfield, OH and is part of several faith & Family films being produced in Ohio by Cain.

CHOSEN not only brings attention to the beauty and challenges of adoption and foster parenting, but shows just how communities and people of faith can come together to help.

Ohio Helping Hands looks forward to having Dean Cain help them launch by handing off their first set of bags to Richland County Children’s Services on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 6PM just before the premiere of a new film ‘Joey & Rex Save the Church’ at Crossroads Church 1188 Park Ave. W, Mansfield, OH.

Nikki Harless from Richland County Children’s Services will be on hand to accept the bags from Cain. She mentioned about the program, “This is such a wonderful project and we’re so excited to be a part of it.”

If members of the media would like to interview Cain, please contact Jason Campbell at 304-906-5957.
