Written and directed by Phoenix filmmaker Jeff Breuer, the film is called GLASS WALLS and and tells the story behind the ministry of Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat, which is headquartered at the Standing Stones Retreat Center in Wickenburg, AZ. This new faith-based film about pastor burnout.

Cain is an American actor, producer, television presenter, and former professional football player that is best known for playing the role of Clark Kent/Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

Shepherd's Canyon Retreat is a ministry that offers week-long counseling retreats for men and women in ministry who are in the midst of various stages of burnout, stress, depression, and conflicts of all kinds.

The producers of the film believe that the culture war raging against clergy in America today is becoming overwhelming. Pastors and other ministry leaders are often under so much stress that they may find themselves just hanging on by a thread, about to burnout from exhaustion or blow out morally.

Cain is part of JCFilms Studios and has appeared in over 20 of their previous faith and family films. JCFilms Studios is a nationwide film ministry that produces faith film and television content with a production studio in Phoenix.

Jason Campbell, President of JCFilms explains the reason and importance of this film, “Let’s face it; Pastor stress today is enormous. The expectations that people put on their pastors — and that pastors put on themselves — can be debilitating. This film is both an alarm to the crises and a blueprint to help churches restore pastoral care. Dean and I both are very excited to be involved.”

Production is scheduled to start on December 4th at the retreat center and wrap up later in the month in Phoenix. In addition, to Cain, Eddie McClintock known for his work on The Sweetest Thing (2002), Warehouse 13 (2009) and Supergirl will be a part of the cast.
