LAFAYETTE, GA / CHATTANOOGA, TN — In a bold move that completely ignores the calendar, production is officially underway on the upcoming Christmas romantic comedy Where You Left Me, a feel-good holiday film currently being shot in March. Yes, March.
Featuring fake snow, winter coats in 65-degree weather, and actors cheerfully saying “Merry Christmas” while sweating slightly, Where You Left Me proves once and for all that it’s never too early or too late to make a Christmas movie.
The film stars Julie McCullough (Growing Pains, The Golden Girls, The Drew Carey Show), whose decades-long career spans television, film, comedy, and pop-culture legend status. McCullough brings her signature warmth, humor, and charm to the role of the sharp-witted Aunt Tess, delivering laughs, heart, and perfectly timed advice whether anyone asked for it or not.

Where You Left Me follows Johnny, a man still clinging to a love he lost, who returns home for Christmas hoping for a miracle. With help from his brother, his outspoken aunt, and a quirky new arrival who turns his world upside down, Johnny learns that love isn’t always about holding on — sometimes it’s about letting go and seeing what’s right in front of you. It’s heartfelt, funny, romantic, and contains the exact emotional ingredients audiences expect from a classic holiday rom-com.
Director and Producer Kenyon Henry describes the film as “everything people love about Christmas movies, romance, humor, redemption. Just this one is going to be filmed when no one actually needs a coat.”
In addition to seasoned professionals, the production is also offering select participants the chance to appear on screen with speaking roles, proving once again that miracles do happen - sometimes on a movie set pretending it’s December.
Despite the unseasonable timing, the cast and crew remain committed to spreading holiday cheer, complete with decorated trees, glowing lights, hot cocoa props, and the collective agreement to never mention the temperature.
Where You Left Me is slated for release this Christmas season, when it will finally make sense that everyone is wearing scarves.
