Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo to Produce Inspiring Family Adventure Honoring America's Story and the Next Generation
LAS VEGAS, NV — As America celebrates its historic 250th Anniversary, JCFilms is embarking on its most ambitious and exciting project to date; its first-ever animated feature film, The Liberty Lantern, an inspiring family adventure produced by Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo.
For more than a decade, JCFilms has produced over 100 faith and family feature films seen by audiences around the world. Yet one dream has always remained just beyond reach: creating a world-class animated feature that could inspire children through storytelling, imagination, and timeless values. With America marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the studio believes there has never been a more meaningful moment to bring that dream to life.

The Liberty Lantern follows four middle school friends who discover a mysterious lantern that transports them through the defining moments of American history. Along the way, they experience history through the eyes of children their own age, discovering that freedom is more than a word, it is a legacy passed from one generation to the next.
Rather than presenting history as a collection of dates and events, The Liberty Lantern invites young audiences on an unforgettable adventure filled with humor, heart, discovery, and wonder. Through extraordinary journeys into America's past, the film encourages families to appreciate the people, values, and sacrifices that have helped shape the nation over the past 250 years while inspiring today's children to become thoughtful leaders of tomorrow.
Actors Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo, both longtime advocates for faith, family, and American values, are producing the film alongside JCFilms. Their shared passion for creating uplifting entertainment makes The Liberty Lantern a natural partnership and an exciting new chapter for the studio.
To make the experience even more unique, JC Films is inviting young people from across the country to become part of the production through an exclusive On-Set Movie Experience. Selected participants will travel to Las Vegas, where they will work inside a professional green-screen motion capture studio, record dialogue, and have their likeness and performances transformed into animated characters featured in the film. Every participant receives a speaking role, IMDb credit, professional motion capture sessions, and the unforgettable opportunity to become part of JCFilms' first animated feature.
