JCFilms Announces Upcoming Release of The Price of Patriotism.

JCFilms Studios is preparing for the upcoming release of The Price of Patriotism, a new documentary examining the controversial federal prosecution of U.S. Army veteran and former bank chairman Stephen M. Calk.
A veteran. A bank chairman. One connection to a presidential campaign that ended in a federal indictment and became the fight of his life.
Directed and written by Jason Campbell, The Price of Patriotism explores how Calk's 2016 banking decisions, made during the heated atmosphere surrounding Donald Trump's presidential campaign, ultimately placed him at the center of a federal bribery prosecution, a nationally covered trial, and a conviction that dramatically changed his career, reputation, and family.
But the documentary goes beyond the courtroom. Through extensive interviews with Calk, members of his family, colleagues, and public figures, the film examines the case from the perspective of those who believe the prosecution was about far more than banking.
Whether viewers agree with that conclusion or not, The Price of Patriotism asks difficult and timely questions: How much power should federal prosecutors have? How can national politics shape the public perception of a criminal case? What happens when a person's reputation is defined by headlines before the public hears the full story? And what is the personal cost of becoming politically visible at the wrong moment?

Stephen's story gives us an opportunity to look at those issues through the eyes of the people who actually lived through them."
The documentary features Stephen Calk Sr. and Stephen Calk Jr., along with actors Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo, political strategist Michael Caputo, retired Brigadier General Bernard Banks, Darin Lierly, and others who provide personal and broader perspectives on Calk's story.
At its heart, The Price of Patriotism is about more than politics. It is about a veteran, businessman, father, and American citizen confronting the consequences of a prosecution that changed the course of his life and his continuing effort to tell his side of the story.
