Inspired by the real-life impact of Randy Kirshbaum and Vicky Samuelson in Delray Beach

Delray Beach, FL — Pack the sunscreen, grab the bingo cards, and maybe stretch out for some chair yoga, because JCFilms is officially heading to South Florida.
In January 2027, JCFilms will begin production on its newest feature film, The Gathering Place, a heartfelt and often humorous story set inside a vibrant senior activity center in Delray Beach, Florida.
The film is inspired by the real-life work of Randy and Vicky Kirshbaum, who have built something truly special in their community, a place where seniors don’t just pass the time, they rediscover purpose, build friendships, and, in many cases, find a whole new chapter of life.
“We’ve made a lot of films over the years,” said Jason Campbell, President of JC Films, “but this one just feels different. When you see what Randy and Vicky have created in Delray Beach, you realize this isn’t just a location, it’s a movement. And honestly, it might be one of the most joy-filled, competitive bingo environments in America.”

The Gathering Place follows a diverse group of adults over 55 who come together daily for activities ranging from bingo and art classes to fitness programs, support groups, and faith gatherings. What starts as a place to simply stay busy quickly becomes something much deeper, a lifeline of connection, healing, and unexpected purpose.
And yes, while the film will explore real themes like loneliness, grief, and second chances… it will also feature plenty of laughter, strong personalities, and the kind of moments that can only happen when you put a room full of seniors together and tell them there’s a prize on the line.
The production will be filmed entirely on location in Delray Beach, highlighting not only the Kirshbaums’ incredible work, but also the beauty and energy of South Florida as a premier destination for active adult living.
JCFilms is currently working with Florida film commissions across the state, including Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville, as part of a broader initiative to expand its production footprint with South Florida serving as a major focal point moving forward.
Starring Kevin Sorbo, who also resides in the region, The Gathering Place is expected to bring both national attention and local community involvement, with many roles and on-set opportunities open to residents.
“This is one of those films where the community doesn’t just watch it—they help make it,” Campbell added. “And if we’re being honest, they might even steal the show.”
Production begins January 2027. And if you happen to hear cheering coming from a bingo hall in Delray Beach…don’t worry, that’s probably just the cast.
