The Eldridge Manor On-Set Movie Experience will give families the chance to celebrate Halloween by actually becoming part of a feature film.
CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA — This Halloween, JCFilms is inviting families from across the country to trade the usual Halloween routine for something completely different: come to Charleston, South Carolina—and be in a movie.
From October 16–18, 2026, JCFilms will produce its Halloween-themed supernatural thriller, The Eldridge Manor, while opening the set to participants through its popular On-Set Movie Experience. Filmmakers David Perez and Sarahjane Montemayor will host the weekend, helping participants experience the excitement of professional filmmaking firsthand.
“Halloween doesn't have to be dark to be fun,” said JCFilms President Jason Campbell. “There can still be mystery, ghost stories, suspense and a few good scares, but there can also be laughter, family, friendships and a story that actually means something. We want families to come to Charleston, have an unbelievable Halloween weekend together and leave saying, ‘We made a movie!’”
A Haunted Charleston Adventure
Set against Charleston's famous cobblestone streets, historic homes and legendary ghost stories, The Eldridge Manor follows a group on a ghost tour led by the mysterious Larry Truitt.
When the tour takes an unexpected detour to an abandoned manor connected to a horrifying past, members of the group begin disappearing and the survivors discover they may be becoming part of the very history they came to explore.
“Some tours show you history.
This one makes you part of it.”
While the movie delivers plenty of mystery and supernatural suspense, JCFilms wants the experience surrounding it to represent something more: wholesome Halloween fun with a purpose.
Bring the Family and Become Part of the Film
No previous acting experience is required. Participants receive a guaranteed speaking role, IMDb credit, two nights of hotel accommodations, meals during filming, behind-the-scenes access and the opportunity to work alongside the cast and crew.
Families are encouraged to make a weekend of it.... experience Charleston during the Halloween season, explore one of America's most historic cities, and make a memory together that is anything but ordinary.
