WACO, TEXAS — JCFilms Studios is proud to announce the development of DINGER DISCIPLES, an inspiring faith-based feature film based on the remarkable true story of a Central Texas ministry that has impacted thousands of children and families through the game of baseball.

At its heart, DINGER DISCIPLES is a story about two ordinary dads who were willing to say "yes" to God. What began as a simple idea to combine their love of baseball with their love for Jesus Christ quickly grew into a powerful ministry that now draws hundreds of young athletes each year. Through baseball and softball camps, children learn the fundamentals of the game while also hearing messages of faith, purpose, character, and hope.

The ministry's impact reaches far beyond the diamond. Communities have come together. Families have found encouragement. Lives have been transformed. And dozens of young boys and girls have publicly declared their faith through baptism right on the baseball field.

"Dinger" is baseball slang for a home run, but the founders of Dinger Disciples discovered that the biggest home runs aren't hit over a fence, they're hit for the Kingdom.

The film will star Jonathan Lucroy, a two-time Major League Baseball All-Star and one of the most respected catchers of his generation. During a successful 12-year MLB career, Lucroy became known not only for his excellence on the field but also for his leadership and commitment to mentoring young athletes.

Joining him is Dean Cain, best known worldwide for his iconic role as Superman/Clark Kent in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Over the past decade, Cain has become one of the most recognizable faces in faith and family entertainment, appearing in dozens of inspirational films and television projects.
