JCFILMS STUDIOS ANNOUNCES FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT. Powerful True Story Starring Kevin Sorbo and Larra Donaldson to Film in Brandon, Mississippi

BRANDON, MISSISSIPPI — JCFilms Studios has announced production of its newest feature film, Fight the Good Fight, an inspiring true story of faith, hope, and redemption that shines a light on the devastating impact of the fentanyl epidemic while celebrating the incredible strength of one family determined to make a difference.

Starring Kevin Sorbo and Larra Donaldson, the feature film will begin production in early November 2026 in Brandon, Mississippi, bringing together professional actors, local talent, churches, businesses, and volunteers from across the region.

Inspired by true events, Fight the Good Fight tells the story of a family whose world is shattered by the loss of their son to fentanyl. Rather than allowing tragedy to define them, they choose to transform their grief into a mission of hope by educating families, protecting the next generation, and sharing the healing power of faith.

The project holds special meaning for JCFilms Studios and its creative team. The idea for the film was born during one of JCFilms' Chosen & Creative conferences, where actress and ministry leader Larra Donaldson gathered with an incredible group of women, mothers, and young girls from Mississippi. During the weekend, Jason Campbell heard firsthand the family's remarkable story of loss, perseverance, and unwavering faith.

"It was one of those moments you never forget," said Jason Campbell, President of JCFilms Studios and director of the film. "As I listened to this family's journey, I realized this wasn't just another movie, it was a story that needed to be told. This film has the potential to save lives, strengthen families, and remind people that even in our darkest moments, God can bring purpose out of pain."

Larra Donaldson believes the film is about far more than entertainment. "From the very beginning, we knew this story belonged on the big screen," said Larra Donaldson. "It's heartbreaking, but it's also filled with hope. My prayer is that audiences will leave inspired, encouraged, and reminded that God can use ordinary people to make an extraordinary difference. We're honored to tell this story right here in Mississippi."

As production approaches, JCFilms Studios is inviting the community to become part of the project in several exciting ways.

On Saturday, October 10, the studio will host a one-day Actors & Production Workshop at Crossgates Methodist Church in Brandon. The workshop is open to actors and aspiring filmmakers of all experience levels and is designed to prepare participants for professional faith-based filmmaking.

The following day, Sunday, October 11, JCFilms Studios will hold an Open Casting Call for speaking and featured roles in Fight the Good Fight. Actors of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to audition.

In addition to acting opportunities, individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations can also support the film financially through a variety of sponsorship and producer opportunities. As a nonprofit film studio, every contribution helps bring this important story to audiences across America while creating opportunities for local communities to participate in meaningful filmmaking.
