Urgency!

The number one question people ask me, “Jason, why are you making so many Christian films?”

I have motto that repeat often, “If you want to get something done, go to the busiest person to do it.” And whether it be normal life chores or the unpredictability on a movie set this proverb fuels my decision making in the ministry goals I have for JCFilms Studios.

Over the last decade, JCFilms Studios has built amazing army of Christian filmmakers dedicated to changing the world for Christ through film. And it’s not just the Dean Cain’s or the Kevin Sorbo’s of our team, it's everyone.

The Apostle Paul, writing to his spiritual son, Timothy, says: “Preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season.” The scriptures are full of examples of Christ followers urgently pressing in their individual ministries.

Last year, JCFilms Studios produced 20 faith and family films. We thought that was a record number. In 2023, we are slated to produce 27 films. Yes, I am guilty of pushing the needle a little. But as God continues to provide more redemptive and transforming stories, He is also supplying us with more and more talented Christian filmmakers to tell these stories. We are so blessed!

Let’s face it: the world is in danger. And the majority of the world does not recognize the danger. Therefore, we must live with a sense of urgency because we are the people who have been entrusted with the only message that can bring peace between sinful man and a holy God.
