Life can get heavy sometimes. It can happen for all kinds of reasons and whatever the reason, when life does get heavy, we begin to doubt and to fear. This is the subject for JCFilms Studios newest faith film, BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR.
Washed-up actor Tyler Tate has lost everything because of his alcoholism. He loses his job, his family, and decides to retreat to a small motel near his hometown in Ohio. Struggling to the survive, Tate soon finds himself in a ‘life-fog’ that overwhelms him.
Let’s face it, we’ve all felt like that at some point in our lives. At best, despair is difficult. At an extreme, the depths of despair is a place in which we wish that our lives would end.
This was Tate. His world was dark, his heart ached, and the chaos was insurmountable. But God had a plan. And that plan is echoed throughout our new film BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR.
In the film, Tate defies his despair by volunteering at a local theater company teaching acting classes to a group of dysfunctional teens. In doing so, Tate discovers a hopeful vision of what his life can become in the future.
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR features actors Eddie McClintock Julie McCullough, Jack Berner and Jana Lee Hamblin. Production is set to begin in May 2023 in Bridgeport, WV.
