BRADEN’S BENCH: Embracing Every Memory.

During the production of a recent JCFilms Studio movie in Atlanta, GA, Cory and Randi Stevenson shared their life story with Jason Campbell, President of JCFilms, and actor, Dean Cain.  Cory told the story of how his 12-year-old son, Braden, was killed by a runaway car that smashed through his garage while he was looking for his pet hamster.  Cory was on the phone with Braden and heard the tragic event on the phone.

The story was unfathomable, but what caught the filmmaker’s attention was Cory’s surprising ending comments, “God grants us the ability to forgive the unforgivable.”

It was then that pre-production started on the film BRADEN’S BENCH: Embracing Every Memory.

The death of a child is one of the most tragic circumstances imaginable. So how do you make a film with that depth of despair palatable?  And why?

Campbell explains, “As Christians we believe that life on this earth is temporary. It’s so easy to forget, in the midst of headlines, apps and emails just how rare and precious this all is.  My calling is to create films that simultaneously act as a reminder of life’s magnificence while acknowledging God’s gift of eternal life.”

BRADEN’S BENCH: Embracing Every Memory is set to start production in November of 2024 and will star actors, Dean Cain, Tim Ross, and Michael Sigler.

The filmmakers are working closely with Cory Stevenson in producing a movie that not only depicts the incredible life of Braden but shows that there is life after tragedy and life through forgiveness.
