Don't Give Up!

Did you know, that ONE in FIVE American women suffer from depression?   That’s 12 MILLION women!   And contrary to popular belief, depression is not a “normal part of being a woman” nor is it a “female weakness.”

That’s why Amy Samuel, a Christian Evangelist and author is teaming up with filmmaker Jason Campbell to make a movie to tackle this issue.

Samuel who suffered from depression most of her adolescent and young adult life has been sharing her story to women all over the world.  Two years ago, Samuel pinned her award-winning autobiography DON’T GIVE UP; now, that book is the inspiration of a new faith & family Dean Cain film.

Cain, best known for his role as ‘Superman’ on the ‘Adventures of Lois and Clark’ has made over a dozen faith & family films with Campbell.  Dean visited Samuel this past May and agreed to be a part of the project.

“With everything going on in the world right now, with more self-isolating, depression among women is on the increase, now is the best time for us to make this film, we need to get the word out and let women know they are not alone and there is help,” said Samuel.

Samuel has self-raised the majority of the projects budget and has an additional $10,000 to raise.  She has set up a Go Fund Me Account HERE.

Depression is serious and it can occur in any woman, at any time, and for various reasons regardless of age, race or income.  This film is not only about awareness but about how women can overcome, be healed and help those suffering to reshape their lives into something amazing and abundant.
