In an era where the issue of abortion remains one of the most divisive and emotionally charged topics in American culture, JCFilms Studios is entering the conversation with a film that refuses to look away. MORE THAN A CHOICE, written by Adriano & Natalia Gallucci, is a raw and deeply human story that transcends politics to focus on the heart-wrenching decision of one young girl and the life that followed.
Starring faith-film powerhouses Kevin Sorbo (God’s Not Dead) and Karen Abercrombie (War Room), MORE THAN A CHOICE follows 13-year-old Eden, a girl whose life is shattered by abuse within her own family. When Eden learns she is pregnant, her world unravels even further. With her father facing prison and her mother emotionally collapsing, Eden is forced into a situation far beyond her years.
And yet, Eden chooses life.
She gives birth to a baby girl named Katrina and begins a journey of unthinkable sacrifice, pain, and perseverance. Through poverty, societal judgment, and personal trauma, Eden presses forward. Only years later does she fully comprehend the gravity and the beauty of the decision she made as a frightened child.
“This is not just a film—it’s a statement,” says Jason Campbell, President of JCFilms Studios. “MORE THAN A CHOICE doesn’t preach. It dares to tell the truth—that behind every ‘issue’ is a real person. And that every life matters, no matter how small, inconvenient, or unexpected.”
Production will take place exclusively in Bridgeport, West Virginia in August 2025.
Though the film’s story is fictional and not based on the local community, Bridgeport’s authentic setting will help bring this emotionally gripping narrative to life.
At a time when the value of life is debated in courtrooms, classrooms, and campaign trails, MORE THAN A CHOICE challenges audiences to see beyond slogans and laws and witness the extraordinary courage it takes to choose life.
